London Photo Show 2025 | Patricia Wood
The London Photo Show is back! Six photographers of the Urban Photographers Club community will be exhibiting their latest work! As they sit down with Noemie Decaen to discuss their projects, it is our pleasure to (re)introduce them and their photographs to you!
Our next photographer is Patricia Wood!
Patricia is an enthusiastic amateur photographer from the UK with a passion for street photography.
She enjoys spending time out on the streets, searching for the humorous, quirky, and unusual moments in everyday life. Her work often highlights connections between people and objects, aiming to bring a smile to the viewer's face.
Recently, she has become increasingly drawn to the aesthetic side of street photography.

ND: What inspired you to curate this particular collection of photographs for your exhibition?
PW: I am working on several projects at present and some of the collages of photos will form part of my collection.

ND: Could you share some insights into the creative process behind these photographs?
PW: When I started to see ordinary people wearing the same or very similar clothes in the street, I was fascinated and thought that this could form a collection of photos. Now, I am always on the lookout for this when I go out shooting.
The photo collection of the Walkie-Talkie building is something I have been working on for a while. I am drawn to this building and now whenever I go into London I try and take a shot of it from a different perspective.

ND: What emotions or messages do you hope viewers will take away from experiencing your exhibition?
PW: I just hope that my photos make people smile, think and look again.

ND: Are there any specific stories or moments from your photography that you would like to highlight in this exhibition?
PW: Only that, for me, projects are a valuable way of keeping me focussed when I go out shooting.
ND: How do you see your photography evolving in the future, and how might that influence your future exhibitions?
PW: I hope to develop both my technical and creative skills to be able to put together a series of photographs on a theme for future exhibitions and to produce Zine(s) on these projects.

ND: What has been your experience with UPC in regards to this exhibition?
PW: Most supportive and encouraging. The friends and connections I have made through UPC are valuable to me and I enjoy being a part of this community.
