Avneet (Av) is a photographer exploring the tension between structured space, vivid colour, and human movement. Beginning his practice in monochrome in 2020, a pivotal street photography workshop with David Gibson shifted his work towards Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and saturated chromatic palettes.
Rejecting the digital obsession with clinical sharpness, Av blends graphic, theatrical colour-blocking inspired by artists like David Hockney and Edward Hopper with the instinctive, fluid energy of photographers Daidō Moriyama, Ernst Haas, and Trent Parke. His work juxtaposes anonymous figures against high-contrast, complementary colour fields—capturing both the isolated clarity of everyday encounters and the dynamic velocity of contemporary city life.
