Dave Walker is a documentary, street and portrait photographer living in South London. His work is driven by a playful curiosity, drawn towards spontaneity, humour and finding beauty in the mundane.
When not photographing on the street, he enjoys documentary storytelling and the process of sequencing his images. This also feeds into a love of environmental portraiture and capturing people in their natural surroundings.
Dave's creative journey started in carpentry, but his self-confessed inability to saw straight didn't bode well, so off he went to art college. Today, alongside his photography, he works as a design director. Some of this influence naturally finds its way into his photography, particularly his eye for layering and composition.
He has been a member of the Urban Photography Club for many years and enjoys contributing, including building and managing this website for the Urban Lives exhibition.
