Neil has been interested in photography since they took it as an option for Art A-Level back in the early 2000’s. He then went to the University of Sheffield and studied Law, but returned to photography when they returned home.
He attained his LRPS distinction with the RPS in 2012.
Photographically he developed massively when he won the Silver Medal in the Urban Photo Fest 2013 Competition and as result won a place on the Goldsmith International Urban Photography Summer School.
He has had work feature in various newspapers and publications, including Black + White Magazine and Amateur Photographer.
He attained his ARPS distinction with the RPS in 2018.
In 2021 he was named Street Photographer of the Year in the Paris International Street Photo Awards. Also in 2021 he was a finalist in the RPS Documentary Photography Awards.
He won in the Street Photography category of the 2022 British Photography Awards.
More recently he has had work feature in the GR30th Anniversary “My Favorite Shot” which was exhibited in Japan.
He is currently working on several long-term projects and also his FRPS panel.
