Valentin Porcellini is a photographer based in Berlin, Germany. Originally from the south of France, he has lived across Europe, America, and Asia. His work explores the rhythms of contemporary life, with a focus on youthful spontaneity, everyday street scenes, and collective rituals of celebration.
Alongside his artistic practice, he has worked in media technology at Agence France-Presse (AFP), developing tools to assess the authenticity of digital media, including the detection of AI-generated images.
He is also a steering committee member of the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance’s Youth Engagement Chapter, contributing to initiatives that promote media literacy among young people and help them navigate the challenges of the contemporary information landscape.
With a strong interest in cinema, he also makes short films and works as a unit still photographer on film productions.
